Hello BearChess!

This is the new website for BearChess.
BearChess is an independent Windows programme for chess engines (UCI protocol) with direct support for electronic chessboards (Certabo, TabuTronic Cerno/Spectrum/Sentio/Tactum, iChessOne, Millennium ChessLink and eOne,  DGT (e-Board and Pegasus), Chessnut Air/Air+/Pro/Go/Evo/Move, Square Off Pro, NOVAG Citrine/UCB, Saitek OSA, ChessUp, House of Staunton, Manya Cynus) and for DGT3000 BLE Gateway.

Why yet another programme for chess software?

Many graphical user interfaces support electronic chessboards, but do not make full use of the potential offered by chessboards with piece recognition. They could be put to much better use for training or analysing games and positions.

BearChess therefore focuses more on making the most of the capabilities of chessboards than on simply being yet another graphical user interface (GUI). Take a look at the video tutorials on YouTube.

The software is being developed without the use of AI. Translations between German, English and Italian are provided using DeepL’s free translation service.
